Chaco Culture

Chaco Canyon has been inhabited for over 2,000 years. The canyon contains an intriguing collection of architectural achievements, including monumental ceremonial grounds, multi-story "greathouses" and a network of roads connecting the other locations in the World Heritage Site. Created by the Chaco culture, an autonomous subset of the Anasazi, the area saw it's height of use from 1020-1110 AD.
